Winners wake up early: “The early morning has gold in its mouth" It is known about him that he was always up before dawn daily because he knew the importance of time. In his autobiography it is said that he utilized time in a proper way, he would take almost three hours to study, read, evaluate and prepare for a day ahead before eating breakfast. You can take the important decisions of your life by waking up early because all of us have a fair idea of how a day would look like when we choose to oversleep. Sometimes it happens that you don’t get time to get ready properly before work because you are short on time. All you do is leap out of your bed, find the clothes and rush towards work, we are completely hurried and frazzled when we are late Some of us have adopted this as our routine to wake up late and then rush to work or school. No stress, no hurry, and relaxed life this makes your brain process in a more zen manner which leads to powerful decision making. 2. You should never stop learning: "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest" It is known about Franklin that he scheduled a time for daily life, on an everyday basis he had a specific schedule for "prosecute the present study". This means that he was always up to learn something new and he was studying most of the time. He was of the opinion that one should never stop gaining knowledge and skill because every day you kern something new from people, books and everything around you. He was always trying to get better at knowledge. You should never stop learning because it is not giving to any loss but benefits in life. Instead of facing a lack of knowledge, in making your dreams come true you should always be learning to make it possible. Franklin said this when there was no technology, today we have access to everything through the internet. Learning is easier than ever, and it is limitless. No one can stop you from learning if you have courage if your own will power is against learning that is the only way you are fine with less knowledge. 3. Always take it easy “Happiness consists more in the small pleasures that occur every day, than in great pieces of good fortune that happen but seldom to a man in the course of his life.” Franklin is known for his schedules and a proper routine, one of his habits included taking 2 hours for lunch. This means that he was never in a hurry, whether it is about life or a meal. He never used to rush while eating, his midday was all about reading, relaxing and charging his batteries before he returned to his work. It is the daily grind that we are always rushing through every aspect of our lives. One could get most of the benefits by making life easier. 4. Spend your time having fun with family and friends: “We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” When you spend time with your beloved friends and family, listening to your favorite music or doing something that you love and have fun doing means you are making most from life. We might have heard a million times that we only live once so why waste this opportunity? It is one of the important aspects of Franklin's life to have fun and enjoy. He knew, in the end, nothing matters but your happiness. He was of the idea to appreciate the little things around. 5. Always reflect back: “Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every New Year find you a better man.” It is said that the last thing Franklin did every night was to look back and question himself about what good he has done today? That is exactly what you should be doing because you will grow with each passing day, it should be done in a better way when you will look back and evaluate your progress. Take a lot of time to examine your deeds, actions, and behavior. Your decisions and behavior will be evaluated on the basis of your personality, and nothing stays the same you might change, but this change should be for good. Each day when you go to bed, clear your mind from all the stress and think about the actions and behavior of the whole day. If you are satisfied with your progress in life, then keep going on. If not, then you should make sure that you don’t repeat the same mistakes again.
