Sharing coworking spaces is one of the biggest trends right now and  they have even taken  from regular office spaces.  The general idea of coworking is for different sets of individuals to share a workspace. This idea stops a lot of individuals like the freelancers, entrepreneurs, web creators from going to that coffee shop or diner  just to get work done. With the different sets of people sharing the workspace, there are  ground rules set to avoid any form of disagreement. There are also certain dispositions that should be avoided when sharing a coworking space.
Use Your Inside Voice
You should ensure to make use of your inside voice when in the coworking space. Some coworking spaces have phone booths or designated places for phone calls, so phone calls should almost always be made at this places. Although the use of phones is not prohibited in the workspace,  you should be mindful of others when answering calls.

Leave Immediately After Using Appliances
Most people are of the habit of catching up with people when they are using the machines or simply just hogging the machines,  this habit slows down productivity marginally.  Once you are done using the coffee machine or the photocopier or any other appliances ,  leave immediately. Take the conversation to lounging areas.
Respect Others' Privacy in the Space
Respecting the privacy of others is a very essential part of sharing a workspace.  Most people do not like when people snoop around them and so to avoid any form of disagreement, one should always be mindful of the privacy of others.
Be Polite to Your Work Buddies
You do not have to be best friends with the people you share a coworking space with but civility is a must in the workplace.  Rudeness always leads to disagreement which is bad as it interferes with the productivity in the workplace.
Keep Tidy of the Common Areas and Work Areas
Don't mess up your area of the workspace and expect someone else to clean up after you. Although there will be cleaning crew to clean up the place,  you should always  make sure you throw all your garbage in the waste baskets.
Ask Others Before Borrowing Their Property
Taking the property of others is not an ideal coworking etiquette,  you should learn to stick to your property to avoid misunderstandings. Although sharing is encouraged in the workspace,  sticking to what is yours is most ideal.

Eating at the Designated Area or Lounging Space
There are places designated for eating in the coworking space and you should always endeavour to eat meals there rather than the shared workspace areas as it disrupts work flow. Eating at your own work station is acceptable as well.
Keep Good Hygiene
You should always take note that you are not at home, so certain things you do at home just do not fly at the workspace. Acts like nose picking , nail biting,  and other habits that gross people out should be avoided in the work space.

At Treehouse Society, we respect others in our coworking space to keep our productivity high.

I agree that it is important to keep your coworking area clean even though they might have cleaning crews. It makes sense to think that keeping your space clean can help you focus better and help the people working around you do the same. My brother is planning on traveling for a couple of weeks for work, so he wanted to find an office he could work at away from home, so I'll share this site with him to help him out.
